Dining With The Rén Collection A Symbol of Refined Simplicity

Nestled atop The Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne, Atria offers contemporary Australian cuisine as elevated as its perch on the 80th floor. The restaurant combines its refined culinary with breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, Port Phillip Bay, and the distant ranges.

The interiors, conceived by Melbourne-based design studio Layan, take influences from Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements to create a space that is both sophisticated and uniquely tied to Melbourne’s cultural identity. Warm tones, plush textures, and opulent details establish a dialogue with the cityscape outside, echoing the city’s interplay of refinement and rawness.

The space is defined by nuanced tensions, through carefully curated materials and furniture selections. In the main dining area, Rén dining chairs take the centre place with their understated yet striking profile. Designed by Space Copenhagen, the Rén chairs epitomize quiet elegance and a timeless fusion of Scandinavian simplicity with Asian craftsmanship.

The collection is named "Rén", which means "human" in Mandarin, captures Space Copenhagen’s intent to create a furniture piece that connects deeply with its users, offering both compelling visual and tactile comfort.
