An Immersive Installation by Neri&Hu
Step into a renaissance of furniture at Stellar Works’ installation for Milan Design Week 2024, curated by creative directors Neri&Hu. As we unveil "The Canvas and the Plinth" exhibition at “The Garage,” located at Viale Gorizia 14, we invite you to delve into our interior vignettes from April 15th to the 21st. In a realm where innovation meets elegance, explore the installation nestled within the historic Darsena area.
“The Canvas and the Plinth” pays homage to Marco Zanuso’s 1946 architectural collaboration of “The Garage” with Gianni Dova, seamlessly transforming an industrial interior into an immersive space. Aligned with Zanuso’s vision, Neri&Hu created a harmony of design where interior meets exterior, forging an architectural ballet that seamlessly intertwines art and space.
Large canvases suspended from a tensile structure unfold architectural layers, revealing vignettes of Stellar Works’ new collections—Qi, Taiko, Lyrical, Mr. B and Inter—in addition to the existing collections. Merging craftsmanship with culture, Stellar Works exhibits the story of its furniture through a narrative that spans tradition, innovation, and timeless elegance.
Stellar Works’ installation is crafted in collaboration with esteemed Japanese partners: the YKK Group and the Sangetsu Corporation. Teaming up with YKK, Stellar Works pioneers advancements in soft furniture technology, while with Sangetsu Corporation, it introduces captivating storytelling canvases as exquisite room dividers. This harmonious blend of traditions in an industrial setting epitomizes the essence of these three Japanese brands' collaboration, promoting cultural sensitivity and the beauty of timeless craft.
