A soft and charming oasis in the heart of Porto

The Largo Hotel in Porto, Portugal, is a stunning example of how historical architecture can be seamlessly blended with contemporary design. Situated on the historic Largo de São Domingos, this 18-room hotel, which includes a restaurant and bar, spans five interconnected buildings from the 15th, 16th, and 19th centuries.

Danish design studio Space Copenhagen has crafted the hotel interiors, employing a refined, detail-oriented design language that harmonizes modernity with a sense of aesthetic slowness. The interiors exude a soft, slightly nostalgic yet timeless style, aiming to evoke a serene atmosphere while remaining fresh and contemporary. Local materials such as millwork, stone, tiles, and metal were chosen for their rich tactile and natural qualities, contributing to the hotel's warm, charming ambiance.

The suites at The Largo are generously proportioned, each meticulously designed to evoke the cozy intimacy of an apartment living room and private quarters. Two exquisite collections designed by Space Copenhagen for Stellar Works are showcased in the hotel guest rooms. The Slow Dining Chairs, with their rounded profiles and sleek lines, infuse the serene spaces with a touch of Nordic sophistication.

Complementing this, the Freja Bench, distinguished by its minimalist aesthetic and attention to details, effortlessly enhances the bedrooms, reinforcing the tranquil ambiance and the illusion of a home away from home.
