Stellar Works present "Indigo: A Cultural Iconography" at the Design Museum
The Asian design brand Stellar Works will take charge of the Design Museum’s marbled mezzanine with a succinct and elegant display designed by the brand’s creative directors, Rossana Hu and Lyndon Neri. The installation will explore how the brand unites Eastern and Western design principles and fuses traditional craft techniques and contemporary technology, through a showcase of Stellar Work’s Ming chair (also designed by Neri&Hu). The varied iterations of the wooden chair include several indigo-hued models, an unusual application of the ancient dyeing technique, which is usually only applied to textiles.
